Good luck with your IRL meetup in Oakland. Sounds fun and inspiring. Obits are the underrated gems of our lives, silent grandparents or peers that know what's on both sides now.
I love Richard Scary's Busy Town. I remember my youngest son being very concerned about Dingo Dog's reckless speeding and driving. I liked all the special cars.. the pickle car, the banana car, the carrots car. A happy thought in my day today!
LOVE this idea! Oakland is a bit out of my range for right now but go a bit north and I'll catch you! Don't you live in Minnesota? or somewhere up along that northern edge of the country? I hope you enjoy your visit to NorCal.
Santa Rosa is the northern edge of urban Bay Area sprawl. Its about an hour’s drive north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Once you get north of SR, you hit majestic lands. If you’re inland, there are vineyards and mountains and glorious views. If you elect to take the coastal route north, you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and lots of pretty scenery along the way. Try it sometime!
Unreasonably excited to be part of the taking-Tips-from-Dead-People-from-behind-the-screen-to-real-space-and-time-journey!!! :)

Mayhem on the streets was definitely a theme in B-Town

I do live in MN! Friends and family in the Bay Area, so taking advantage of the twofers. Would love to explore even further north!
